About
Barwon Water is Victoria’s largest regional urban water corporation. It provides drinking water and wastewater services to 320,000 residents in the City of Greater Geelong, the Borough of Queenscliffe, Surf Coast Shire, Colac-Otway Shire and part of the Golden Plains Shire. It treats 50 million litres of wastewater daily, making use of 11 water reclamation points and more than 170 sewerage pumping stations. On November 6, 2023 at the Integrated Leaders Forum at Amsterdam International Water Week, Shaun Cumming, Managing Director of Barwon Water, accepted the offer of membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award, recognising the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
