Billund Vand & Energi is a public utility that provides services to Billund municipality (home to LEGO). It produces and supplies around 800 000 m3 of drinking water, and treats wastewater, organic municipal and industrial solid waste, and produces energy. Billund Vand & Energi fosters strong collaboration in the municipality, creating win-win opportunities. On November 4, 2019, at the Amsterdam International Water Week, CEO Ole Johnsen, accepted the prestigious invitation for membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
