About
The Central Contra Costa Sanitary District in California provides wastewater collection and treatment, recycled water and household hazardous waste collection for 484,200 residents and more than 3,000 business. The utility covers a 145 square mile service area, 1,540 sewer systems and has 290 employees. On November 29, 2017 at the American Water Summit 2017 in Austin, TX, Roger S. Bailey, General Manager and CEO of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District accepted the offer for the membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
