About
Dewa is a government owned power and water utility for the Emirate of Dubai. DEWA serves a population of over 3.5 million through 854,000 metered connections, with assets totalling USD 39.2 billion and investments of USD 22 billion over the next five years. DEWA’s infrastructure includes 2,311 km of transmission pipeline, 10,127 km of distribution pipelines, 25 pumping stations and 7 reservoirs (818 MIG) with installed production capacity of over 470 million imperial gallons of desalinated water per day (MIGD). DEWA received over 170 prestigious local and international awards over the last three years, and also won the Smart Water Company Award of the Year 2018 at the Global Water Awards. On April 9, 2019 at the Global Water Summit in London, H.E. Abdullah Obaidullah, EVP Water and Civil of DEWA, accepted the offer of membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award, recognising the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
