Evides Waterbedrijf supplies drinking water to 2.5 million customers and businesses in Zeeland, the south-west of South Holland and the Brabant Wal area. It is the second largest water utility in the Netherlands. In addition, Evides offers industrial water services to large industrial customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Evides cleans and supplies water in an environmentally friendly manner. The drinking water comes from the River Meause (80%), groundwater (16%) and dune water (4%). Evides also cleans the wastewater from The Hague, Schiopol, business areas in the Slovebied and in Delfzijl. On October 31, 2017 at the Amsterdam International Water Week 2017 in the Netherlands, General Manager Annette Ottolini, accepted the offer for membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
