Houston Water’s wastewater system has 39 WWTP, 3 wet weather facilities and 383 lift stations. As a regional service of drinking water, Houston Water’s drinking water system includes 6 public water systems, 3 surface water plants, 49 ground water plants and 130 groundwater wells. On July 10, 2018 at the Singapore International Water Week 2017, Director Yvonne Forrest, accepted the prestigious invitation for membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
