Mekorot provides drinking water and wastewater services to a population of 7 million in Israel. Mekorot has 2,000 employees. On May 17th, 2022 at the Global Water Summit 2022, CEO Amit Lang, accepted the offer for membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a ‘Golden Tap’ award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
