SIAAP is a publicly owned utility that provides wastewater services for 286 municipalities in Paris and around Paris. It serves approximately 9 million people, and its infrastructure includes 15,000 km of municipal sewers. The SIAAP Board includes 33 elected members. On April 9, 2019 at the Global Water Summit in London, Jean-Didier Berthault, Vice President of SlAAP, accepted the offer of membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award, recognising the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
