SmVak is the largest water utility in the Moravian-Silesian region in the Czech Republic. It serves a population of 1.2 million, has 882 employees and serves 230 municipalities. As well as 449 pumping stations, it operates 43 water treatment plants and 77 wastewater treatment plants. On 15th April 2024, at the Global Water Summit, Czech Republic Country Manager, Ignacio Parrado, gave a presentation on SmVak's areas of innovation before accepting the Golden Tap trophy and securing his utility's place within the Leading Utilities of the World network.
