About
Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) is a regional system serving the Las Vegas Valley Water District and the Cities of Boulder City, Henderson, and North Las Vegas, responsible for water supply planning, conservation, water quality, environmental resources, and regional facility construction and operations. Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) is a local water purveyor for more than 375,000 active services and the operating agent for the SNWA, as well as small systems in Big Bend, Searchlight, Jean, Kyle Canyon, Blue Diamond, and Coyote Springs. Together, SNWA and LVVWD serve 2.1 million people, have 1,500 employees and 42 million annual visitors. On April 16, 2018 at the Global Water Summit 2018 in Paris, David L. Johnson, Deputy General Manager of Southern Nevada Water Authority / Las Vegas Valley Water District, accepted the offer for membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
