The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) is a wholesale drinking water provider, the largest in the USA, serving 19 million people. On May 17th, 2022 at the Global Water Summit 2022, Chairwoman of the Board Gloria D. Gray and Chief Executive and General Manager Adel Hagekhalil, accepted the offer for membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a ‘Golden Tap’ award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
