About
The San Antonio Water System is one of the largest municipally owned utilities in the US, owned by the city of San Antonio. It services 1.8 million people, has 12,000 miles of pipes and 1,700 employees. They are currently involved in a $2 billion five-year capital programme. On November 29, 2017 at the American Water Summit 2017 in Austin, TX, Robert Puente, President and CEO of the San Antonio Water System accepted the offer for the membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
