Unitywater provides water supply and sewage treatment services to the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions of South East Queensland, which are one of Australia�s fastest growing areas. It was created as a merger of six municipal water businesses in 2010, and serves a population of approximately 800,000 people (and around 1 million over summer). On November 13, 2019, at the American Water Summit in Houston, George Theo, CEO of Unitywater, accepted the prestigious invitation for membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a 'Golden Tap' award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
