About

Vendee Eau is the public water utility responsible for drinking water production and distribution across the Vendee department in western France. Serving more than 700,000 residents in 282 municipalities, it manages a complex system of water resources, including surface water, groundwater, and interconnections with neighboring regions to ensure year-round supply. Vendee Eau is recognized for its proactive approach to drought resilience, innovation in water resource management, and commitment to environmental protection. With a focus on long-term sustainability, it invests in smart infrastructure, promotes water conservation, and supports regional adaptation to climate change. On 13th May 2025, at the Global Water Summit in Paris, Denis Guilbert, CEO, accepted the offer of membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a Golden Tap award, recognising his utility's excellence in service provision.
