Water and Sanitation Directorate, City of Cape Town, provides drinking water and wastewater services to a population of around 4.7 million and has 670 000 connections. On May 9th, 2023 at the Global Water Summit 2023, Executive Director Michael Webster, accepted the offer for membership into the Leading Utilities of the World network and received a ‘Golden Tap’ award for utility performance, representing the achievement of the highest level of utility service.
